Description
A single Stevens Model 58B bolt-action repeating shotgun manufactured by Savage Arms Corporation. This utility shotgun is chambered for .410 Bore and is marked to accept both 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch shells. The firearm feeds from a detachable box magazine, one of which is present. The barrel length is stated as 24 inches, consistent with common configurations for this model. The receiver and barrel display the manufacturer and model markings. Visible markings include SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. STEVENS MODEL 58B .410 BORE PROOF TESTED and 2 1/2 & 3 IN SHELLS. No serial number is visible. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.Barrel Length: 24 inches
Condition: The overall condition is fair to poor, showing heavy use and neglect. The metal components retain approximately 30-40% of the original dark blued finish, which is heavily thinned, worn, and exhibits widespread surface oxidation, light rust, and scattered pitting, particularly noticeable along the barrel exterior. The bore is dark and requires cleaning, but appears serviceable. The bolt action appears to cycle correctly, cocking and releasing the firing pin, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The plain hardwood stock displays numerous deep scratches, dings, and handling marks throughout the buttstock and forend. The black painted cap on the forend is heavily chipped and worn, exposing the wood beneath. The black rubber or plastic buttplate is secured but shows wear.
