Description

A lot consisting of two distinct vintage folding lockback pocket knives, each accompanied by its original or corresponding carrying sheath. The first knife is a classic Buck model, featuring polished stainless steel blades, brass bolsters, and dark striped wood grain handle scales. The second knife is identified as a Schrade "Old Timer" model, featuring brass bolsters and brown synthetic handle scales inset with an "OLD TIMER" plaque. Both knives utilize the traditional lockback mechanism for secure blade deployment. The Buck knife is paired with a modern black nylon sheath branded "BUCK, " and the Schrade knife is paired with a heavily patinated dark brown leather sheath.
Condition: Condition varies significantly between the two items. The Buck knife is in very good, lightly used condition; the blade retains a bright finish with minimal scratching, and the brass bolsters show only light, expected patina. The accompanying black nylon sheath is in near-excellent condition. The Schrade "Old Timer" knife shows heavy signs of age and extensive use. The brass bolsters are heavily tarnished and oxidized. The steel blade exhibits severe condition issues, including extensive pitting, heavy surface rust, significant discoloration, and noticeable chipping along the cutting edge. The accompanying dark brown leather sheath is heavily worn, stained, creased, and highly patinated, consistent with prolonged field use.
