Description
A high-precision, single-shot bolt-action target rifle identified as the Savage Model 12 Palma. This rifle is specifically designed for long-range competition shooting, such as Palma matches, and features a heavy, free-floated stainless steel bull barrel mated to a stainless steel receiver. The rifle is housed in a distinctive grey and black laminated wood competition stock, which features a wide forend suitable for benchrest shooting, an adjustable comb/cheekpiece, and a fully adjustable aluminum butt plate assembly fitted with a rubber recoil pad. The action is equipped with the highly regarded Savage AccuTrigger system, recognizable by the internal red safety blade. The receiver is fitted with a black Picatinny rail section for the mounting of optics. Condition: The rifle is in very good overall condition, consistent with light use in a competitive setting. The matte stainless steel finish on the barrel and receiver retains excellent integrity, showing only minor surface handling marks and scuffs typical of careful range use. The bore appears bright with sharp rifling, though we have not performed a professional bore scope inspection. The grey and black laminated stock is solid with no cracks or major gouges, exhibiting only minor cosmetic wear. The adjustable butt plate and cheekpiece mechanisms function smoothly. The bolt action appears to function correctly, cycling and locking up securely. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition and recommend a qualified gunsmith inspect it prior to use.
