Description

A classic Winchester Model 100 semi-automatic sporting rifle chambered in the powerful .308 Winchester caliber. The Model 100 was manufactured between 1961 and 1973, designed as a companion piece to the popular Model 88 lever-action rifle. This example features a high-gloss blued finish on the barrel and receiver. The barrel is marked “WINCHESTER – MODEL 100 – CAL. 308 WIN” along with “TRADE MARK,” “MADE IN USA,” and “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL.” The rifle is fitted with its original fixed blade front sight and a flip-up adjustable rear sight. The receiver is marked with the serial number 63612. The rifle is stocked in wood featuring factory checkering on the fore-end and pistol grip. Included with the rifle is a black metal box magazine marked “MFG.” The rifle is currently fitted with a period-appropriate black rifle scope, likely a Weaver model based on visible markings (“WEAV…” and “MADE IN U.S.A.”), mounted via glossy black rings. The scope features variable magnification settings (2.5x, 3.5x, 4.5x) and utilizes a duplex reticle. A brown leather shoulder sling is attached via swivels. This rifle is classified as a modern firearm and all applicable federal and state laws apply to transfer.
