Description
A modern semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Ruger, designated as the AR-556 model. This rifle utilizes the standard AR-15 direct impingement operating system. The caliber is marked on the barrel as 5.56 NATO, with a 1-8 twist rate. The rifle features a black finished metal construction for the upper and lower receivers, barrel, and buffer tube. Furniture consists of black polymer components, including a ribbed pistol grip, two-piece ribbed handguards, and an adjustable buttstock bearing the Ruger “R” logo. Sighting system includes a fixed A2 style front sight post and a rear sight assembly mounted on the upper receiver’s Picatinny rail section.
