Description
This lot consists of a quantity: 143 rounds of .40 S&W centerfire pistol ammunition housed in four manufacturer boxes with associated plastic trays. The packaging includes one Monarch box for 180 grain total metal jacket (TMJ) cartridges, one Hornady Custom box for 155 grain XTP cartridges, one Remington UMC box for 180 grain metal case (MC) cartridges, and one Independence box for 165 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) cartridges. Visual inspection of the cartridge headstamps reveals a mix of manufacturers that does not strictly correspond to the exterior packaging, including transcriptions of M S&W 40, FEDERAL 40 S&W, PPU 40 S&W, and HORNADY 40 S&W. The ammunition features both standard brass and nickel-plated casings. The total count for the lot is 143 cartridges.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging exhibits minor shelf wear, scuffing, and light edge fraying consistent with storage and handling. The ammunition appears to be in good overall condition with clean casings and no visible signs of oxidation, corrosion, or significant defects. The cartridges appear to be live and the primers are unspent; however, we have not function-tested this ammunition.
