Description
This is a Remington Model 870 Express Magnum pump-action shotgun chambered for 20-gauge shells. The firearm is configured with a ventilated rib barrel and is designed to accept 2 3/4-inch or 3-inch shells. The receiver and barrel feature a matte black finish, while the furniture consists of a checkered wood stock and matching forend. Sighting is provided by a single bead front sight mounted on the rib, and the buttstock is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the Remington logo. Key markings include the model designation Remington 870 EXPRESS MAGNUM and the serial number A843633 U on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify 20 GA. and include instructions for 2 3/4 OR 3 SHELLS IN MAGNUM RECEIVERS and USE ONLY 2 3/4 IN ALL OTHERS. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black metal finish shows scattered surface oxidation, particularly on the barrel beneath the ventilated rib. There is visible surface rust and light pitting on the bolt carrier as seen through the ejection port. The checkered wood stock and forend exhibit light scuffs and minor dings consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
