Description
This Marlin Model 25M is a bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 W.M.R. (Winchester Magnum Rimfire). The rifle features a blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver, paired with a smooth wood stock. Key markings include the model designation and manufacturer information on the barrel, which reads verbatim MOD. 25M THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. MADE IN NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. CAL. 22 W.M.R. ONLY. The barrel also includes a warning notice stating WARNING BEFORE USING GUN READ OWNERS MANUAL FOR SAFE OPERATION. The receiver is stamped with the serial number 13709724 and features a safety lever with FIRE and SAFE indicators. The rifle is equipped with a ramped front sight and an adjustable rear leaf sight. The furniture consists of a smooth wood stock with minor handling marks, fitted with sling swivels and a black textured synthetic buttplate secured by two screws. A small adhesive inventory label is present on the underside of the forend. This lot includes one detachable metal box magazine with a red follower. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver exhibits scattered light surface rust and pitting. The smooth wood stock remains in good condition with minor handling marks and light scratches consistent with use. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, but the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The detachable magazine shows minor finish wear.
