Description
This is a single-blade folding lockback pocket knife produced by Schrade Cutlery as part of the Gold Rush Commemorative Scrimshaw series. The clip point blade is made of Schrade+ stainless steel with a polished finish and features a nail nick and a script etching that reads Limited Edition. The tang is stamped SCHRADE + on the top line and U.S.A. LTD. on the bottom line. The handle scales are cream-colored synthetic featuring multi-color scrimshaw-style illustrations. The obverse side depicts a Forty Niner prospector examining a gold nugget, and the reverse side depicts a miner panning for gold alongside a pack mule. The knife features polished nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. The front bolster is stamped with the serial number 0421. The item is accompanied by its original brown textured presentation box with gold-tone lettering, a tan suede leather belt sheath with a snap closure stamped SCHRADE, a 1990 Schrade Cutlery information sheet, and a blank registration certificate. According to the included documentation, this model was limited to a production run of 6,000 units.

Condition report:
The knife is in excellent, near-mint condition. The blade retains its original factory edge with no visible signs of sharpening or use. The bolsters and scales show minimal handling wear. The packaging and documentation are well-preserved with only minor shelf wear to the exterior of the box.
