Description
This is a Coleman Model 200A single-mantle liquid fuel camping lantern. The unit features a red-painted fount and a matching red ventilator. The clear glass globe is marked in red with PYREX MADE IN U.S.A. FOR Coleman. A curved metal reflector is attached to the burner assembly. The fount displays a red and cream decal with the Coleman script logo, a lantern icon, and the text PATENTS PENDING. The fuel control knob is constructed of dark plastic with a white faceplate containing operating instructions: Open 1/4 Turn to Left and Light, After Mantle Burns Bright Open as Far as Possible, and Made in U.S.A. A white mesh mantle remains attached to the burner. The lantern includes a wire bail handle and a side-mounted pump assembly.
Condition report:
The lantern shows signs of age and previous use. There are visible scuffs, scratches, and dark marks on the red painted surfaces of the fount and ventilator. The metal bail handle and the attached reflector exhibit surface oxidation and minor corrosion. The fount decal is largely intact with some minor wear. The glass globe appears free of cracks or chips but shows some internal soot. The mantle is intact.
