Description
This is a single wooden rifle stock designed for a bolt-action firearm, appearing to be configured for a Remington Model 700 BDL or similar short action pattern. The stock is crafted from dark-grained walnut with a smooth satin finish and features a classic Monte Carlo-style buttstock with a prominent raised cheekpiece and a contoured pistol grip. The top of the stock is inletted for a round receiver, barrel channel, and bolt assembly, while the underside features cutouts for a trigger group and magazine floorplate. Key markings include the stamped characters 60 located within the inletted receiver bedding area. A small white adhesive label on the right side of the buttstock bears the handwritten number 13052. The stock is fitted with a brown textured rubber butt pad separated by a thin black spacer. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The stock is in good overall condition, showing minor surface scratches, small dings, and light handling wear consistent with field use. The satin finish remains largely intact with no significant thinning or peeling. The wood is free of cracks or structural repairs. The rubber butt pad is supple and the inletting remains crisp and well-defined.
