Description
This Marlin Model 60W is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle, designed for general sporting use and target practice. The firearm is equipped with a 19-inch Micro-Groove barrel featuring a blued finish and an under-barrel tubular magazine. The receiver is finished in matte black and includes an integral dovetail rail currently fitted with a black Tasco scope featuring a standard crosshair reticle. The rifle is mounted in a smooth hardwood stock with a walnut-colored finish, complete with a black polymer Marlin buttplate and a brass-toned medallion on the right side of the buttstock depicting a mentor and youth with the text SAFETY ETHICS SPORTSMANSHIP. Verbatim markings on the barrel include THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT, U.S.A. MODEL 60W MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 22LR ONLY and a safety warning. The serial number 10484392 is stamped on the left side of the receiver. The firearm is also fitted with a gold-colored trigger. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel is in good condition with minor handling marks and no significant oxidation. The matte black receiver finish shows light wear and some small scratches, particularly around the scope mounting area. The hardwood stock is well-preserved, showing only minor nicks and dings from typical use. The bore is bright with crisp rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The Tasco scope optics are clear.
