Description
This lot consists of three 1-lb metal cans of GOEX black rifle powder, totaling 3 LBS Total of propellant. Two of the containers are commemorative 80th Anniversary editions, featuring a black banner marked 1912 80TH ANNIVERSARY 1992. These two cans were manufactured by GOEX, Inc. at the Moosic, Pennsylvania facility and are hand-marked FFg and EG on the upper shoulder. The third can features a banner reading American-Made Since 1912 and was produced at the Minden, Louisiana facility. All three cans are lithographed in red, black, and white and are designated as FFg grade, suitable for use in muskets, pistols, and shotguns. Key markings include the brand name GOEX in stylized white lettering and the weight specification NET WT. 16 OZ. (454 G.). The cans retain their original metal screw caps. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The cans are in fair to good condition overall. The leftmost Moosic, Pennsylvania can exhibits significant rust and heavy corrosion along the bottom edge and lower seam. The remaining two cans show minor surface scuffing and light shelf wear to the lithographed finish. The metal screw caps display light oxidation but remain functional. The contents have not been inspected for moisture or degradation, and the powder is sold as-is.
