Description
A collection of 4 vintage automatic fly fishing reels, comprising two silver-toned Shakespeare No. 1810 models and two maroon-toned Ted Williams Model 470 reels. The Shakespeare reels are constructed of metal and feature the Shakespeare oval logo marked Made in Kalamazoo, U.S.A. – honor built honor sold, along with the model number No. 1810 and the word Patented stamped on the body. The maroon-toned reels feature the Ted Williams signature logo in cursive above the model number 470, with Automatic Fly Reel printed around the center dial. The mounting feet on the Ted Williams units are stamped Made in U.S.A. All four reels are designed with textured adjustment dials. One Shakespeare reel and one Ted Williams reel have fly line remaining on the internal spools.
Condition report:
All items show signs of moderate wear and use, including surface scratches, finish loss, and minor oxidation.
