Description
This lot consists of a collection of 36 assorted firearm components and accessories including butt plates, mounting hardware, and internal parts. The collection features six butt plates of various designs; one is marked with the Remington name and another with the Browning logo, while others display checkered patterns or horizontal serrations. Mechanical and mounting components include two blued steel scope rings, two sling swivel assemblies with wood-screw bases, a large spanner-style wrench, and a firearm hammer. Additional items include a rear sight leaf, two metal stock or magazine well inserts, a small coil spring, and approximately 20 miscellaneous screws, pins, and small internal components of various types and lengths. Verbatim markings include the Remington and Browning names on the respective butt plates. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The items are in mixed condition, ranging from good to poor. Several steel components, most notably the spanner wrench and the firearm hammer, exhibit heavy surface rust and pitting. The blued finish on the scope rings shows minor wear and thinning. The plastic and hard rubber butt plates show varying degrees of surface wear, scuffing, and dirt accumulation consistent with field use. Screws and pins show various stages of oxidation and slot wear.
