Description
A collection of automatic fly fishing reels manufactured by the Perrine Mfg. Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group includes a reel with a green-finished faceplate and several reels with black-finished faceplates. The green reel is embossed with Perrine Mfg. Co., the brand name Pemco, Patented, and Minneapolis, Minn. The black reels are marked Perrine Mfg. Co., Pat. No. 1,810,573, Free-Stripping in a stylized font, and Other Pats. Pend. Minneapolis, Minn. These metal reels feature spring-loaded retrieval mechanisms and mounting brackets. One reel includes a metal lever stamped with the instruction Slide In Above Disc.
Condition report:
The reels show evidence of age and use, including surface scratches and edge wear with paint loss on the faceplates. Minor oxidation is present on the mounting brackets and levers.
