Description
This collection features four folding knives across three separate commemorative sets. The first set is a Buck Knives Edge of a Legend two-knife collector set containing a Model 379 Solo single-blade folder and a Model 373 Trio three-blade stockman. Both knives are constructed with stainless steel blades, black textured synthetic scales, brass bolsters, and inset Buck shields. They are housed in a collector tin featuring a white-tailed deer photographic print. The second item is a Schrade Cutlery Corporation National Park Service 75th Anniversary commemorative lockback knife, Model 5OT. The stainless steel blade features etched text reading National Park Service 75th Anniversary 1916-1991 with decorative scrollwork. The handle consists of dark wood scales with brass pins and an inset National Park Service logo medallion. The bolster is serialized 2158. This knife is presented in an oak-finish wooden box with a bison illustration and includes the original registration certificate. The final item is an artistic fantasy-themed lockback folder. The knife features a polished metal frame with a relief-carved spiral design on the bolster and an inset graphic of a female figure with a leopard. The tang is marked S, 2. It is housed in a black display box with a matching interior graphic.
Condition report:
The Buck Knives set appears in unused factory condition with only minor shelf wear to the exterior tin. The Schrade National Park Service knife shows significant oxidation, spotting, and pitting on the blade and bolster, while the handle and wooden box remain in good condition. The fantasy-themed knife is in very good, unused condition with minimal signs of handling.
