Lot 1248:
Hatfield SGL Single Shot Shotgun 20 Gauge with 28 Inch Barrel
Sold for: $75
Description
This Hatfield SGL is a single-shot break-action shotgun chambered for 20 gauge with a 3-inch chamber. It is configured with a 28-inch barrel featuring a ventilated rib and a single brass bead front sight. The metal surfaces are finished in a matte black, while the furniture consists of a smooth wood buttstock and forend. The buttstock is designed with checkering at the pistol grip and is fitted with a textured black plastic buttplate. A Picatinny-style accessory rail is mounted to the underside of the wooden forend. The lot includes a separate black cylindrical accessory module, likely a laser or light, which features an integrated rail mount and partial white lettering reading DULE ARMED FOR. Key markings include the model designation SGL on the left side of the receiver and the manufacturer name HATFIELD on the right side. The serial number 199001-91502 is located on the right side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify UTAS-USA Des Plaines, IL, Made in Turkey, and 20 Gauge – 3 inch Chamber. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish exhibits visible areas of surface oxidation and light pitting, particularly across the receiver and the ventilated rib. The wood components show signs of moderate use with scattered scratches and dings on both the buttstock and forend. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The included accessory shows minor finish wear and oxidation on the mounting hardware.
