Description
This lot consists of a collection of 100 brass ammunition casings chambered for the .22 Hornet cartridge, intended for reloading purposes. The collection is comprised of three clear plastic bags containing spent components from two major manufacturers. Key markings include headstamps transcribed verbatim as W-W SUPER 22 HORNET for Winchester-Western production and R-P 22 HORNET for Remington-Peters production. The casings are standard rimmed centerfire rifle components featuring a tapered body. The lot includes both deprimed cases and those retaining spent primers; however, no live primers, propellant, or projectiles are included in this lot.
Condition report:
The brass casings are in used, once-fired condition. The exterior surfaces exhibit varying degrees of natural tarnish and minor oxidation consistent with age and handling. There are no signs of significant structural deformation or case mouth splits visible in the representative samples. The items are inert components and have not been cleaned or polished.
