Description
This single-shot bolt-action rifle is chambered for .22 caliber rimfire cartridges and was manufactured for the Tru-Test brand by O.F. Mossberg and Sons. The rifle features a blued barrel and receiver with a bright-finished bolt assembly that includes a manual cocking knob at the rear. The firearm is equipped with a fixed blade front sight and an adjustable rear elevator sight. The rifle is mounted in a one-piece wood stock with a contoured grip and a plain butt. Key markings transcribed from the receiver include TRU-TEST and the barrel is stamped with PATENT 2173576, PATENT 2223092, and PATENT 2230372. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces exhibit thinning of the original bluing with areas of light surface oxidation and minor handling marks. The wood stock shows significant wear consistent with field use, including numerous scratches, dings, and patches of finish loss, particularly concentrated around the butt and forend. The bore was not inspected. The bolt and cocking piece show light tarnish but remain functional in appearance.
