Description
This lot consists of two sets of reloading dies chambered for .308 Winchester, comprising a total of four individual steel components. The first set is an RCBS Precisioneered reloading die group housed in a dark green plastic case, containing a full-length sizing die, a seating die, and a decapping assembly. Key markings on the RCBS case label include the handwritten designation 308 W.N. and the manufacturer information RCBS, INCORPORATED, OROVILLE, CA 95965. The second set is a Redding Competition Bullet Seating Die, part number 55155, contained in a bright green plastic case. This precision component features a large micrometer-adjustable head with a graduated scale for fine seating depth control and is marked COMPETITION on the die body. The Redding case label is printed with REDDING COMPETITION BULLET SEATING DIE 55155 and 308 Winchester. A small black Allen wrench is included with the Redding set.
Condition report:
The plastic storage cases show minor exterior wear, scuffing, and some staining to the labels. The metal die components exhibit visible surface oxidation and light rust, primarily concentrated on the threaded sections and knurled adjustment rings. There are various handling marks and signs of previous use throughout the steel surfaces. The micrometer adjustment on the Redding die appears to move freely, and the graduated markings remain clear and legible.
