Description
This lot consists of four containers of .270 caliber rifle projectiles designed for reloading, with a nominal diameter of .277 inches. The collection includes one box of Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting 150-grain Spitzer bullets, part number 27150, originally containing 50 projectiles with yellow polymer tips which are currently housed in a separate plastic bag. Also included is one black plastic box of Barnes 140-grain XBT copper hollow-point boat tail bullets, part number 27727, labeled as a 50-count. The third container is a green box of Sierra GameKing 150-grain Spitzer Boat Tail bullets, number 1840, originally a 100-count box. The final item is a red box of Hornady 150-grain Spire Point bullets, originally a 100-count box. Verbatim markings on the packaging include the manufacturer names, specific grain weights, and part numbers as noted. These items are loose projectiles only and do not include brass casings, gunpowder, or primers.
Condition report:
The outer packaging for all four items exhibits visible shelf wear, including edge fraying and small tears, most notably on the Hornady box. Handwritten numbers including 56, 24, 62, and 1447 are present on the labels. The Nosler projectiles are contained within a clear plastic bag and appear to be in good condition. The Barnes copper projectiles show minor surface tarnish consistent with age. The Sierra projectiles exhibit some oxidation on the lead tips and minor discoloration on the copper jackets. The total quantity of bullets within the boxes has not been individually verified against the original factory counts.
