Description
This is an RCBS Case Trimmer 2, a manual ammunition reloading tool manufactured by RCBS (Rock City Beverage Service) of Oroville, California. The tool is a lathe-style match precision case trimmer used for the consistent shortening of cartridge brass. It features a heavy cast metal base with a signature green hammertone finish, designed for bench mounting via four integrated mounting holes. The mechanical assembly includes a central steel shaft with a cutter head, operated by a manual crank handle with a black spherical plastic knob. A T-handle tightening assembly is located on the left side to secure the cartridge case in place during the trimming process. The base features raised cast lettering within a rectangular border reading RCBS, with the model designation CASE TRIMMER 2 located directly below. This tool is designed to accept caliber-specific pilots and collets for operation.
Condition report:
The tool is in good used condition. The green hammertone finish is largely intact with minor cosmetic wear and scuffing to the base. The steel shaft and cutter head show visible surface oxidation and staining characteristic of age and previous use. All mechanical parts appear to move freely. This listing includes the primary trimmer assembly as shown; caliber-specific pilots and collets are not included and must be sourced separately for operation.
