Description
This collection consists of several leather holsters and a magazine pouch of American manufacture. A primary item is a Brauer Bros. Manufacturing Co. Moose Brand belt holster from St. Louis, Missouri, featuring the manufacturer oval stamp on the interior of the belt loop and model numbers 11B and A4 5. It is constructed of brown leather with a sueded interior and dual brass snaps marked with the company name. Also included is a black leather duty holster bearing the Smith and Wesson trademark logo and model numbers 1095 480 6807GG and B07-44SF, equipped with Pull the Dot directional snaps. A third black leather holster is incised with the mark B34 21 and a faint, illegible circular logo, which is attributed to the manufacturer Bucheimer based on the model code. The collection further contains an unmarked black leather shoulder holster component with a brown leather backing plate, a compact unmarked black leather holster with a single snap strap, and a double-cell black leather magazine pouch with silver-toned snap closures.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of moderate to heavy use. The Brauer Bros. holster exhibits surface scuffing and wear to the leather. The Smith and Wesson holster shows significant green oxidation (verdigris) around the copper and brass rivets on the reverse side. The shoulder holster component displays heavy creasing and surface wear. The magazine pouch shows heavy scuffing and finish loss, particularly at the edges and flaps. All hardware and snaps remain in functional condition.
