Description
This Remington Model 700 is a bolt-action sporting rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, designed for long-range hunting applications. The firearm features a tapered barrel and receiver with a polished blued finish, complemented by a bolt body with a decorative engine-turned or jeweled finish and a knurled bolt handle. It is mounted in a high-gloss finished walnut stock featuring a Monte Carlo comb, a raised cheekpiece, and skip-line checkering on the forend and pistol grip. The stock is further appointed with a black forend tip and a black pistol grip cap, both accented with white line spacers, along with two sling swivel studs. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounts, and the barrel is prepared for iron sights; however, the iron sights are missing, and the mounting holes currently contain plug screws. Key markings include the model designation Remington MODEL 700 and the serial number B6277679 on the receiver. Barrel markings specify REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. and the caliber 7MM REM. MAG., alongside proof and date codes including (REP) and XA 12. The rifle is completed with a Remington-branded textured rubber recoil pad. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in good used condition. The polished blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows some areas of thinning and light surface scratches, primarily on the receiver. The engine-turned finish on the bolt remains bright. The high-gloss walnut stock retains much of its finish but exhibits various dings, impressions, and scratches consistent with field use, with more prominent marks located on the left side of the buttstock. The skip-line checkering remains well-defined. The iron sights are missing from the barrel. The bore was not inspected, but the action appears to function correctly when cycled.
