Description
This lot features a group of reloading equipment and components for the .243 Winchester caliber. The set is housed in a green plastic storage box from RCBS, Inc. of Oroville, California. The contents include four individual steel reloading dies and two cartridges, comprised of one complete round and one empty brass casing. The exterior box label identifies the set as part number 11465, Group A, with a description of TRIM .243 WIN. Verbatim markings on the components include RCBS 243 WIN on the top of one die, while another die is equipped with a lock ring marked HERTER’S between two stars and the word SEATER stamped on the body. The dies are constructed of threaded steel with knurled adjustment rings for precision setting.
Condition report:
The steel components show signs of moderate use including light surface oxidation on the knurling and scattered tool marks on the die bodies. The green plastic case is intact but the paper labels are stained and bear handwritten pencil notations. The brass cartridges exhibit a natural darkened patina.
