Description
A trio of components comprising an RCBS Precisioneered reloading die set designed for the 7×57 Mauser caliber. This set, identified by part number 13801 and categorized under RCBS Group A, consists of a full-length sizing die, a bullet seating die, and a separate decapping and expander rod assembly. The dies feature standard 7/8 inch-14 threads compatible with most reloading presses, along with knurled adjustment rings for precise depth setting. The set is housed in its original signature green plastic storage case. Verbatim markings on the case label include QUAN. 1, PART NUMBER 13801, GROUP A, and the description F L DIE SET 7X57 MAUSER. The lid is marked RCBS, INCORPORATED, OROVILLE, CA 95965 and the end of the label includes the number 37. The storage case shows scuffing and residue from previous use.
Condition report:
The die set is in used condition with visible surface oxidation and accumulated residue on the machined steel surfaces, particularly within the knurled and threaded areas. The decapping pin appears intact on the separate rod assembly. The green plastic storage case exhibits external scuffing, dirt, and some staining consistent with workshop use. The end label is partially worn but remains legible. The mechanical function and dimensional tolerances of the dies have not been tested.
