Description
This Kimber Classic Model Custom is a full-sized 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, representing the highly regarded early production from the company facility in Clackamas, Oregon. The firearm features a 5 inch stainless steel barrel and a matte black finish on the slide and frame. The pistol is equipped with a skeletonized trigger, a combat-style hammer, an extended beavertail grip safety, and fixed combat sights. It is fitted with checkered reddish-brown wood grip panels secured by hex-head screws. Key markings include the stylized Kimber logo on the left side of the slide, while the right side of the slide is marked CLASSIC MODEL / CUSTOM .45 ACP. The right side of the frame is stamped KIMBER. CLACKAMAS. OR. USA above the serial number K006661. The barrel is marked 45 ACP. Included with the lot is one single-stack magazine featuring five witness holes. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in used but well-maintained condition. The matte black finish remains largely intact with minor surface scratches and visible thinning on the sharp edges of the slide and frame consistent with light use. The checkered wood grips are in good condition with well-defined texture and no significant chips or cracks. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
