Description
This Thompson/Center Impact is a break-action muzzleloading rifle chambered in .50 caliber designed for modern black powder hunting. The firearm features a 25-inch barrel with a matte silver-tone finish and a matching receiver, mounted in a synthetic stock with a Realtree Hardwoods camouflage pattern. The stock includes a textured grip area and a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the T/C logo. It is equipped with a black Picatinny-style scope rail and a Williams adjustable rear sight, though the fiber-optic elements are missing from the sights. A black ramrod is secured in the channel beneath the barrel. Key markings include the model designation T/C IMPACT on the right side of the barrel and the serial number VDT8046 accompanied by a QR code on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify THOMPSON/CENTER / SPRINGFIELD, MA, USA .50 CAL. and include a safety warning stating LOAD ONLY BLACK POWDER OR AN APPROVED BLACK POWDER SUBSTITUTE. NEVER USE SMOKELESS POWDER. We have not function-tested this firearm. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The matte silver-tone finish is in good used condition, showing minor surface oxidation on the metal surfaces and screw heads. The synthetic stock exhibits visible wear and scuffing to the camouflage finish, particularly at the high points. A section of frayed camouflage fabric tape is wrapped around the forward portion of the barrel. The bore was not inspected. The break action appears to function correctly, and the rubber recoil pad remains supple despite minor surface soil. The fiber-optic inserts for the iron sights are missing and require replacement.
