Description
This lot consists of 150 rounds of .38 S&W centerfire pistol ammunition, comprised of one 50-round box of Remington Performance Wheelgun 146-grain lead round nose cartridges and two 50-round boxes of Remington High Velocity 146-grain lead round nose cartridges. The ammunition is organized in three 50-round trays, two black and one white. Key markings on the packaging identify the contents as 38 S&W 146 Gr. Lead RN and include the product codes RPW38SW and R38SW. Verbatim headstamp markings observed on the cartridges include R – P 38 S&W and norma 38 S&W, indicating a mixture of Remington-Peters and Norma manufactured brass within the lot. The packaging features English and French text, including the designation Cartouches à Percussion Centrale.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, live condition. The brass cases exhibit minor surface tarnishing and the lead projectiles show slight dulling and oxidation consistent with age. The outer cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, minor soiling, and small tears at the corners and flaps. The plastic and styrofoam internal trays are intact and hold the rounds securely.
