Gun Collectors Dream Auction #83 May 2nd & 3rd TWO DAYS - NO RESERVES - 1200 LOTS!
Lot 1483:
Description
This lot consists of a collection of spent bottlenecked ammunition casings, primarily featuring a brass finish with several nickel-plated examples interspersed throughout the container. The items are loose and contained within a cardboard USPS Priority Mail box. A visual inspection of the headstamps reveals markings including HORNADY, WIN MAG, and 300, identifying the primary caliber as .300 Winchester Magnum. The casings are once-fired components intended for reloading purposes and show struck primers with no projectiles present. The collection exhibits varied surface conditions typical of fired brass, including carbon fouling at the case mouths and minor surface tarnish from storage. No serial numbers or manufacturer dates are present on these components.
Condition report:
The spent casings are in good, once-fired condition. The brass and nickel-plated finishes show expected signs of use, including carbon residue around the necks and mouths. Some examples exhibit light surface oxidation or tarnish. All primers have been struck, and the cases are empty of powder and projectiles. The structural integrity of the visible cases appears sound for reloading, though they have not been individually gauged or inspected for internal defects.
