Description
This lot consists of a collection of 5 reference titles and technical manuals relating to firearms history and maintenance. The group includes Frank Sellers, Sharps Firearms, a hardcover quarto with a pictorial dust jacket; Torsten Lenk, The Flintlock: Its Origin, Development, and Use, translated by G.A. Urquhart and edited by J.F. Hayward, a hardcover quarto with a blue pictorial dust jacket; Hank Goodman, Muzzle Loader’s Manual, an octavo softcover under the ultra HI imprint; Jack Behn, .45-70 Rifles, a hardcover octavo published as a Stackpole Classic Gun Book; and Jerry Kuhnhausen, The Ruger Double Action Revolvers: A Shop Manual Vol. I, a quarto softcover manual. The volumes are bound in a mix of publisher’s cloth and original paper wrappers. The content includes technical data on various calibers and mechanical specifications for historical and modern firearms.
Condition report:
The collection shows general signs of use including shelf wear and minor bumping to the corners of the hardcovers. The softcover wrappers exhibit light creasing and edge wear. Dust jackets are present on two volumes and show small tears, light soiling, and edge wear. No signatures or inscriptions are visible.
