Description

This sporterized bolt-action rifle is built on a Remington Model 1903 action and has been re-barreled to .308 WIN. The firearm features a heavy, silver-finished barrel and is housed in a smooth walnut stock with a Monte Carlo comb and a black Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. It is equipped with a Nikon Monarch UCC 6.5-20x44mm scope featuring a duplex reticle, mounted on a one-piece base. Key markings include the receiver ring designation U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 1903 and the serial number 3294834. The barrel is explicitly marked 308 WIN, confirming the caliber change from the original military chambering. The scope is marked Nikon Monarch UCC 6.5-20×44, KF126147, and MADE IN PHILIPPINES. The receiver exhibits notable heat-treatment discoloration around the front ring and has been drilled for the optic mount. The stock shows handling marks and a visible crack on the right side behind the bolt handle. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The silver finish on the heavy barrel shows moderate surface wear and light oxidation throughout. The receiver metal exhibits a mix of original finish, age-related patina, and distinct heat-treatment discoloration around the receiver ring. The walnut stock remains structurally intact but shows numerous handling marks, scratches, and a significant crack on the right side at the wrist behind the bolt handle. The Pachmayr recoil pad shows typical wear but remains pliable. The Nikon optic appears clear with a functional duplex reticle and intact adjustment caps. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
