Description
This bolt-action rifle is built on a Winchester Model 70 receiver and has been re-barreled to Womack .257 Roberts. The firearm features a custom blued barrel and is mounted with a Leupold 12X fixed-power scope, serial number G307372, secured on a one-piece base. The rifle is fitted with a custom, highly figured wood stock featuring a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, a dark wood forend tip, and a Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. Key markings include the WINCHESTER –TRADE MARK– engraving on the left side of the receiver and a circled WP proof mark. The receiver bears the serial number 19511 on the front ring. Barrel markings specify WOMACK .257 ROB., indicating the work of gunsmith Lester Womack. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the receiver remains largely intact with minor wear at the edges. The custom barrel exhibits significant thinning of the finish, accompanied by speckling and surface oxidation throughout its length. The high-gloss wood stock is in good condition with only minor handling marks and dings. The Pachmayr recoil pad shows some hardening and surface wear consistent with age.
