Description

This commemorative multi-tool folding pocket knife set was manufactured by Schrade Cutlery Corp. in Ellenville, New York, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, spanning the years 1910 to 1985. The knife is a camp or utility pattern featuring four stainless steel tools: a spear-point main blade, a can opener, a combined cap lifter and flat-head screwdriver, and a leather punch or awl. The handle is constructed with black jigged synthetic scales, nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, and a metal bail. An inset nickel silver shield on the handle is embossed with the words BE PREPARED. The main blade features an etched central circular logo containing the BSA eagle emblem and the words DIAMOND JUBILEE, flanked by the words LIMITED EDITION in block lettering. The front bolster is stamped with the serial number 43268. The set is housed in its original presentation box with a red flocked insert and includes a bronze-tone commemorative Diamond Jubilee coin and the original registration certificate from Schrade Cutlery Corp.

Main blade length: 2.5 inches.

Condition report:

The knife is in near-mint condition, showing no signs of use, carry, or sharpening. The blades and tools retain their original factory finish and snap. The presentation box and original paperwork are intact, with the outer cardboard box showing minor age-related yellowing and light shelf wear.
