Description
This lot consists of two vintage hunting and reloading accessories in their original packaging. The first item is a Lohman Model No. 301 goose call featuring a two-piece turned walnut wood construction with a glossy finish on the barrel. Key markings include the manufacturer stamp on the interior insert which reads LOHMAN NEOSHO, MO. in black ink. The call is accompanied by its original yellow and green cardboard box with a gold foil label identifying it as a Lohman Goose Call No. 301. The second item is a Lyman steel mandrel designed for use with an Easy Shot Shell Trimmer. The mandrel is housed in its original orange and white cardboard box which is marked Lyman Mandrel and FOR USE WITH EASY SHOT SHELL TRIMMER. This tool is a solid steel component used in the shotshell reloading process. Both items are presented with their respective period retail packaging.
Condition report:
The goose call is in good condition with the glossy finish on the walnut barrel remaining largely intact and the internal markings clear. The Lyman mandrel shows evidence of use including light surface oxidation and minor scuffing to the steel finish. The original cardboard boxes show typical shelf wear for their age including scuffing, minor tears at the flaps, and several adhesive retail price and inventory stickers.
