Description
This lot consists of 1000 small rifle primers manufactured by Winchester, intended for reloading small rifle cartridges. The collection includes two distinct styles of packaging representing different production eras. The first is a blue Winchester sleeve featuring the brand name in red, the word Primers in gold, and the text FOR SMALL RIFLE LOADS in white, further identified by a boxed WSR logo and the side marking No. 6 1/2-116. The second is a white Winchester Western box with the brand name in red above a large red W logo and the text PRIMERS FOR SMALL RIFLE RELOADING in blue. The white box displays handwritten notations in blue ink, including 10.80, ZAA, and $4.39 1.15. Two black plastic primer trays are included, one containing 100 gold-tone primers and the other containing 100 silver-tone primers, which are part of the total factual count of 1000 units.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear, including edge creasing, scuffing, and minor tearing consistent with age and storage. The white box features several handwritten ink notations on the exterior. The primers themselves appear to be in good physical condition, with the gold-tone and silver-tone finishes showing no signs of corrosion or oxidation. The primers are sold as live components; however, they have not been function-tested for reliability or ignition
