Description

This single-shot lever-action rifle is a J. Stevens Arms Company Crack Shot-26 chambered in .32 Rimfire. The rifle features a round barrel equipped with a fixed blade front sight and a notched rear sight. Key markings include the manufacturer and location on the top of the barrel stamped J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY / CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. followed by the patent date PAT. APR. 22-1913 and the caliber designation 32-R-F. The left side of the receiver is clearly marked CRACK SHOT-26. The firearm is equipped with a smooth wood stock and forend, a metal buttplate, and a takedown screw located on the underside of the receiver forward of the trigger guard. No serial numbers are visible on the external surfaces. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The barrel retains a worn blued finish with scattered scratches and areas of light surface oxidation. The receiver exhibits a mottled brownish-gray patina consistent with age. The wooden furniture shows heavy crazing and cracking throughout the finish, though the wood remains structurally intact. The metal buttplate shows significant surface rust. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected.
