A Lot of 149 Rounds of Mixed Manufacture .357 Magnum Ammunition
Sold for: $65
Description
This lot consists of 149 rounds of .357 Magnum centerfire ammunition of mixed manufacture, presented in a green translucent plastic flip-top box and a white styrofoam tray. The collection includes 50 nickel-plated cartridges in the plastic container, while the styrofoam tray holds 50 brass-cased cartridges and 49 nickel-plated cartridges. A literal transcription of visible headstamps includes FEDERAL 357 MAGNUM, WINCHESTER 357 MAG, R-P 357 MAGNUM, S&W 357 MAG, SUPER-X 357 MAGNUM, PMC 357 MAG, G.F.L. 357 MAGNUM, and PERFECTA 357 MAGNUM, indicating a compiled lot from various makers. The cartridges are fitted with a variety of projectiles, primarily jacketed soft point and semi-jacketed hollow point designs. Also included in this lot are two vintage empty cardboard boxes: one teal Remington Kleanbore Priming box and one blue Smith & Wesson box, both of which show moderate shelf wear and scuffing consistent with age.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in overall good condition with clean cases and no significant corrosion or oxidation noted on the brass or nickel plating. The primers are seated correctly and show no signs of previous strikes. The vintage cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, edge wear, and minor tearing at the corners and edges, consistent with age and typical storage. The plastic and styrofoam containers are functional and intact.
