Sold for: $400
Description
This German Sport Guns GSG-5 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR HV, designed as a civilian-legal clone of the MP5 submachine gun. The firearm features a matte black finish and is equipped with a 16.25 inch barrel encased in a black faux suppressor shroud. The furniture consists of a fixed black polymer buttstock with a ribbed buttplate and sling attachment points, a textured polymer forend, and an integrated pistol grip. The rifle is fitted with a top-mounted BSA Red Dot optic, model RD30/22SB, and retains its factory hooded front post and rotary drum rear sights. Verbatim markings on the receiver include the GSG oval logo, GSG-5, Made in Germany, and the importer mark ATI Rochester NY. The right side of the magazine well is marked cal. .22LR HV and GSG-5 over Made in Germany. The safety selector is designated by a red dot for F and a white dot for S, with the frame marked READ MANUAL BEFORE USE. The serial number A263956 is clearly stamped on the right side of the receiver and the bolt assembly. The rifle is accompanied by one curved detachable magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish is in good overall condition, exhibiting minor scuffs and superficial finish wear on the upper receiver rail and the faux suppressor shroud. The polymer furniture is well-preserved with light handling marks but no visible cracks or structural damage. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
