Lot 285:
Taico Dickson - Falcon Single Shot Break Action Shotgun 10 Gauge
Sold for: $250
Description
This Spanish-manufactured single-shot break-action shotgun is chambered for 10-gauge shells and features an external hammer with a single trigger. The firearm is equipped with a blued barrel and a receiver that displays decorative scroll engraving and a developed brownish patina. The furniture consists of a wooden stock and forend, both featuring checkered panels on the wrist and forend for improved grip. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designation on the top of the barrel, transcribed as TAICO-MADE IN SPAIN and DICKSON – FALCON. The underside of the receiver and the barrel lug are both stamped with the serial number 35024. Additional barrel markings include Spanish proof marks, 900 KGS, CHOKE 18.5, 18.3, and 1190. The muzzle is fitted with a simple bead front sight. The buttstock is equipped with a red rubber recoil pad that shows significant deterioration and cracking. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The barrel retains a significant portion of its original blued finish with some light handling marks and surface wear. The receiver has transitioned to a mottled brownish patina with visible surface oxidation and wear to the engraved details. The wooden components show moderate wear consistent with field use, including various scratches, dings, and thinning of the finish. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The red rubber recoil pad is in poor condition, being heavily cracked and brittle.
