Description
This Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in .41 Magnum, a caliber favored by handgun hunters and enthusiasts for its flat trajectory and power. The firearm features a 6.5-inch barrel and is constructed of blued steel throughout the frame, cylinder, and barrel assembly. It is equipped with smooth wood grips that house silver-tone Ruger phoenix medallions. The sighting system consists of a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight paired with a fixed ramp front sight. Verbatim markings on the barrel include STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. followed by the Ruger logo. The left side of the frame is roll-marked RUGER .41 MAGNUM CAL. NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK and the serial number 41-02468 is stamped on the right side of the frame. The revolver is presented with a grey plastic Ruger-branded hard case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows moderate cosmetic wear consistent with field use, including thinning at the muzzle and along the ejector rod housing. The cylinder exhibits light surface pitting and a visible turn line. There is more pronounced oxidation and pitting present on the hammer. The smooth wood grips remain in good condition with only minor handling marks and no cracks. The action appears to function correctly with proper indexing and lockup, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
