This lot consists of a collection of seven components and accessories intended for an M16A1 style rifle chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56x45mm NATO. The assembly includes a pair of black polymer triangular handguards, an A-frame front sight base with an integrated bayonet lug, a triangular metal handguard cap, a birdcage-style flash hider, and two barrel nut and slip ring assemblies. The handguards feature the distinct tapered triangular profile and internal metal heat shields characteristic of early M16 variants. No manufacturer markings, caliber stamps, or serial numbers are present on any of the items. This lot contains only the specified components and does not include a barrel, receiver, or internal mechanical parts.
Condition report:
The metal components show significant signs of wear and age, including widespread surface oxidation, finish loss, and light pitting, particularly on the front sight base and the interior of the barrel nut assemblies. The birdcage flash hider exhibits heavy finish wear and carbon accumulation. The polymer handguards show various surface scuffs, scratches, and minor dings consistent with previous use but remain free of cracks or major structural damage. The internal heat shields show some surface rust. Threads on the flash hider and barrel nuts appear functional but have not been tested for fitment. As this lot consists of components only, no barrel or bore is present for inspection.
