Description
This lot consists of an RCBS Precisioneered reloading die set for the .357 Auto Mag cartridge, manufactured by RCBS, Inc. of Oroville, California. The set is housed in a green polymer case featuring a yellow factory label. A visual inspection of the interior reveals a total of four steel reloading dies and one brass dummy cartridge. The dies feature machined steel bodies with knurled adjustment rings and locking rings for precise reloading operations. The factory label identifies the set as part number 35505, Group E, and describes it as a 3 Die Set .357 Auto Mag. Verbatim markings on the label include QUAN. 1, PART NUMBER 35505, GROUP E, and DESCRIPTION 3 DIE SET .357 AUTO MAG. The presence of a fourth die indicates an additional tool beyond the standard set, likely a specialized crimp or sizing die. The manufacturer information is listed as RCBS INC., OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA 95965.
Condition report:
The steel dies show signs of use including light surface oxidation and minor wear to the finish on the knurled rings and threaded bodies. The brass dummy round exhibits tarnish consistent with age. The green plastic case is structurally sound but shows scuffs, surface dirt, and staining from use in a workshop environment. The factory labels are intact with some minor discoloration and edge wear.
