Description
This lot consists of a quantity of 1300 Count percussion caps intended for use in muzzleloading firearms, featuring a mix of standard and magnum ignition components from Remington and CCI. The collection includes a large green Remington carton containing 1000 caps, a CCI bulk box, and two individual 100-count tins. Key markings on the primary Remington box include No. 11 Percussion Caps, FOR PERCUSSION GUNS, and 1000 CAPS / 10 PACKS OF 100 EACH. The Remington UMC tin is marked 100 (F.C.) Percussion Caps with the UMC and DuPont logos, noting the Remington Arms Company, Inc. Bridgeport, Connecticut 06602 address. The CCI components are designated as No. 11 MAGNUM PERCUSSION CAPS, with the individual tin bearing the item code 0310 and the NON-CORROSIVE label. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The external packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear consistent with age, including edge fraying, corner scuffing, and light surface soiling on the cardboard cartons. The CCI box retains a vintage yellow sale price sticker of $2.50. The two metal tins remain in good structural condition with clear, legible lithography and minimal oxidation. The percussion caps appear to be in original, live condition, though they have not been functionally tested for reliability.
