Lot 514:
A Lot of 750 Spent Brass Handgun Casings in Various Calibers
Sold for: $40
Description
This lot consists of approximately 750 spent brass handgun ammunition casings, primarily intended for reloading purposes or metal salvage. The collection includes a variety of common handgun chamberings, with prominent headstamps transcribed verbatim as WINCHESTER 45 AUTO and S&W 40 AUTO. The casings are in as-fired condition, retaining their original spent primers and showing typical carbon fouling within the interior and neck areas. The exterior surfaces exhibit a natural aged patina and remain uncleaned and unpolished, consistent with once-fired factory ammunition. The items are contained within a standard cardboard shipping box and appear to be free of live primers, projectiles, or active propellant.
Condition report:
The brass casings are in as-fired condition, showing expected signs of use including carbon residue in the necks and around the primer pockets. The exterior surfaces show a dull, natural patina with some minor surface oxidation and light scuffing from bulk storage. No significant denting or structural deformation is visible on the sampled casings. The lot is composed entirely of inert, spent components.
