Lot 518:
A Lot of 10 Cor-Bon .475 Turnbull Centerfire Rifle Ammunition and Casings
Sold for: $15
Description
This lot consists of ten pieces of .475 Turnbull centerfire rifle ammunition produced by Cor-Bon, comprising seven loaded cartridges and three spent brass casings. The loaded rounds feature flat-nosed projectiles, appearing to be of a solid copper or brass alloy construction, seated in rimmed brass cases. These cartridges are designed for use in rifles chambered for the .475 Turnbull caliber, a high-performance big-bore cartridge often utilized in lever-action platforms. Key markings include the headstamps on the base of each case which are transcribed verbatim as 475 TURNBULL CORBON. The three spent casings retain their indented primers, while the seven loaded rounds feature intact, unfired primers.
Condition report:
The brass cases exhibit a natural aged patina with minor surface tarnish, light scratches, and general handling wear consistent with storage. The projectiles on the loaded rounds appear secure and free of significant oxidation. The three spent casings show clear firing pin indentations on the primers, while the loaded rounds appear to be in functional condition. No original packaging is included.
