Lot 517:
A Lot of 108 Cartridges of Mixed Manufacturer .45 Auto Ammunition
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of a total of 108 cartridges of .45 Auto (.45 ACP) handgun ammunition contained within three partial boxes and their respective trays. The packaging includes one Sellier & Bellot box marked for 50 cartridges of 230 grain FMJ, one Freedom Munitions box, and one Browning Center Fire Handgun Ammunition box. The ammunition is distributed across three inserts: a large black plastic tray holding 20 nickel-plated cartridges and 20 brass-cased cartridges with two loose rounds on top; a white styrofoam tray holding 40 brass-cased cartridges with one loose round on top; and a smaller black plastic tray holding 24 brass-cased cartridges with red primer sealant and one loose round on top. Key markings transcribed from the headstamps include WINCHESTER, LIBERTY, FEDERAL, FC, X-TREME, BROWNING, REM-UMC, and S&B. The projectiles primarily feature a full metal jacket (FMJ) configuration.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in well-preserved condition, with the brass and nickel-plated cases showing minimal tarnish and the primers appearing intact. The cartridges appear to be live rounds. The original cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear, including some tearing to the end flaps, edge fraying, and various handwritten notations on the exterior surfaces.
