Description
This solid-frame, double-action revolver is chambered for the .38 Smith & Wesson cartridge and was manufactured by the H. & R. Arms Co. of Worcester, Massachusetts. The firearm is equipped with a round barrel featuring a fixed front blade sight and a sighting groove integrated into the top strap. The steel frame and cylinder retain a thinned blued finish that has transitioned into a mottled gray and brown patina with areas of light surface pitting. The revolver utilizes a pull-pin cylinder release and is fitted with black checkered hard rubber grips adorned with decorative scrolling and a crown motif. Key markings include the model name VICTOR and the caliber .38 S. & W. CTGE. on the top strap, while the butt of the grip frame is stamped H. & R. ARMS CO. WORCESTER, MASS. U.S.A. and the serial number 4401. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in fair to good condition, showing honest wear commensurate with its age. The original blued finish has thinned significantly, exhibiting a heavy patina and scattered light surface pitting on the frame and cylinder. The hard rubber grips remain in good condition with crisp checkering and no significant chips or cracks.
