Description
This 12-gauge shotgun barrel is designed for use with Maverick Arms Model 88 or Mossberg 500 series pump-action shotguns. The barrel measures 28 inches in length and is constructed of blued steel featuring a ventilated rib with dual sight beads, including a white front bead and a brass mid-bead. It is configured with a fixed modified choke and is chambered to accept both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Key markings on the left side of the breech end specify the chambering and gauge, reading CHAMBERED FOR 2¾ AND 3 IN. SHELLS and —12 GA.—28 IN. MODIFIED CHOKE—. The right side of the barrel features a multi-line warning label that includes the manufacturer address P.O. BOX 586 EAGLE PASS, TX U.S.A. 78853. The barrel is equipped with a standard magazine tube mounting ring and a knurled takedown screw for installation. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The barrel is in used condition, retaining much of its original blued finish but showing visible surface oxidation and scattered small rust spots across the exterior of the tube and ventilated rib. The bore is bright and appears to be in good functional condition. The dual sight beads are intact, and the ventilated rib is straight. The magazine mounting ring and takedown screw show light wear from use but appear to function correctly.
